Hey there, girls and guys of the internet. Relationships are all about communication and compromise. You're not always going to agree on everything perfectly, but it's about the conversation and mutual respect that forwards a couple to longevity. Believing you both have the agency to make the relationship work and fantastically takes effort from both sides, it takes patience and understanding. When your girlfriend says she wants a small proposal, you do it.

Blatantly disregarding her wishes, her anxieties surrounding marriage and proposals is just downright rude, unempathetic, and disrespectful. Who are you proposing for, yourself and your ego, or your girlfriend? Being sensitive to situations and feelings are critical. Without basic respect and empathy, you'll get dumped, just like the guy in this story. And even worse, maybe your father will write you out of his will for your abominable behavior towards your girlfriend. You go, dad. Teach your son a lesson.
